We all know safeguarding is vital. But don't just 'tick the box' - join us for a lively interactive session to explore how we can implement robust safeguarding procedures in school to make sure everyone is safe.
Our Safeguarding of Children Level 2 (VTQ) course is aimed at anyone who is working with children and young people. It's also known as 'Child Protection training' and covers a wide variety of topics including types of abuse, how to recognise problems, and what to do if you have a concern. We will also look at things you should be doing to help protect yourself whilst working with children.
With lots of discussion and case studies to learn from it's an interactive session that's designed to make you think and ask yourself "Am I doing everything I can?" As well as referencing the latest 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' and 'Working Together' guidelines to ensure compliance we'll also look at practical ways of promoting safeguarding in school.
Ideal for all staff, both classroom and ancillary, this short course is also great for governors and volunteers that come into school to help out. We also deliver this course to members of the PTA or for parents who help during the school day or with wraparound care.
If you are taking a more leading role in safeguarding (DSL, DDSL or part of the Leadership Team) you might want to consider the Level 3 course

Our Safeguarding of Children Level 3 (VTQ) course is our most advanced safeguarding course and is ideal for any staff in the role of DSL or DDSL or for those on the Leadership Team. It covers a wide variety of topics including types of abuse, how to recognise problems, and what to do if you have a concern. We also look at how to respond to a disclosure, what actions you should (and shouldn't!) take, and how to make sure your policies and procedures are not just compliant but robust and meaningful. We will also look at things you should be doing to help protect yourself and your team whilst working with children.
